The Lice B Gone Spray is a safe, non-toxic lice, nit and scabies treatment. This extra-strength, 100% pesticide-free formula contains enzymes that are derived from natural plant sources. It has been clinically proven to be effective on lice without the use of harmful pesticides or irritating chemicals.
It is also effective on the nits (eggs) - it softens the glue, which holds them to the hair shaft, making them easier to remove with a nit comb. Most cases require only one treatment, so you don't need to retreat again in 7 days like other products. However, if re-exposure to lice should occur, Lice B Gone cn be used as often as needed.

How Lice B Gone Works?
Conceptually, we think that if something kills, it must be a pesticide. This is not always the case. A fly swatter or the heel of a shoe can kill an insect, but they are not pesticides. Salt is not a pesticide, but when this basic substance is poured on a slug or a snail, it kills the organism by a "physical reaction".
In a sense, this is how Lice B Gone works. When the enzyme shampoo comes in contact with head lice, it creates a reaction that causes them to die, not in a neurological sense like the neurotoxins used in conventional pesticides, but in a physical sense like salt on a slug. As a bonus, it does something else that other products don't do; it works on nits! It doesn't kill them, instead it softens the glue that holds them to the hair shaft, allowing them to easily be combed out of the hair and rinsed away.

For head lice: Spray Lice B Gone onto dry hair and massage or comb to insure that the hair is completely saturated. Be sure to keep out of eyes and if possible put a shower cap over hair after application. Allow Lice B Gone to remain on the hair for 60 minutes. This is the length of time required for Lice B Gone to soften the glue, which holds the nits (lice eggs) to the hair shaft. Remove the shower cap and comb hair carefully with a nit comb to remove all lice and nits. If hair is long, thick and/or curly, comb with a wide tooth comb to straighten and detangle before using the nit comb. Rinse hair with warm water and inspect under a bright light using a magnifying glass.
For Body Lice/Crab Lice: Apply Lice B Gone directly to the affected areas of the body and keep wet for at least 60 minutes, reapplying when necessary. Shower with warm water and re-inspect.
For Scabies: Spray Lice B Gone onto affected area(s), allowing it to dry uncovered and remain on the skin for a minimum of 12 hours. Inspect the treated area(s) and reapply Lice B Gone with a cotton ball to spots still showing signs of redness.
