Compare Synthetic Vitamins to Natural Vitamins ~

As we all know, vitamins can be synthetic and natural. Synthetic vitamins are synthesized by chemical compounds in the form of pure crystalline materials ready for use. Natural vitamins are obtained by separating those substances from pure natural sources. You must have already noticed that many scientists dispute the usefulness of synthetic vitamins, but the usefulness of natural sources has never been questioned.

In fact, the composition of the molecules in synthetic and natural vitamins is similar, but biochemists report such cases, when the "live" molecules behave differently than their synthetic copies. This is often due to isomerism, a phenomenon in which the same molecules have a different arrangement of atoms in space. In addition, natural, whole food vitamins and minerals are always accompanied by lots of substances useful for the assimilation of vitamins by the body. For example, synthetic vitamin C is only ascorbic acid and nothing else, while natural vitamin C derived from herbal ingredients contain bioflavonoids, which act as catalysts and significantly increase the vitamin’s effectiveness; or natural vitamin E, which includes all the tocopherols and is much better than its synthetic counterpart.

In addition, synthetic vitamins, unlike the natural ones, are stored longer in the body. This leads to their accumulation and possible toxic reactions, while natural whole food vitamins (even if overdosed) are easily removed from the body.

Vitamins get to our body through the stomach, i.e. the way vitamins are assimilated in the digestive system directly influences their effectiveness. Recent research has shown that there are four types of people with a fundamentally different digestive system; or we should rather say there are four different sets of intestinal bacteria responsible for the process of splitting food for its further absorption and assimilation in the intestinal walls. This means that two people with different types of the digestive system may receive dramatically different amounts of nutrients and vitamins by consuming one and the same product. The lack of useful nutrients in synthetic vitamins reduces their digestibility in the intestines. To get the same biological effect as whole food vitamins, one should take much more.
